We offer affordable baseball radar guns designed to help with pitching fundamentals and pitching instruction. Radar Guns can be used to ensure that proper pitching technique is adhered to during a game or workout by checking pitching speed against normal levels. By tracking the normal speed of a pitcher, a coach can tell if a pitcher is tiring or straining to maintain the same pitching speed while throwing.
We use the radar in our practices to convince players that technique, not raw strength or muscling the ball, will produce fast pitches. They are constantly amazed at how the proper pitching technique can yield such great results. We prove it to them with the use of the radar!
We also use the device to track the speed differential between a pitcher's fastball and changeup, slider or curveball. We continually preach to the pitchers that the main number in pitching is not how fast they throw their fastball, it is the difference in speed between their fastball and their other pitches. Off balance hitters hit into outs. The radar gun help us work with pitchers to perfect their speed differentials on pitches thrown for strikes.
